Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have Mercy on Me, a Sinner.

Hey There,

Today I have been fraught with anxiety and fear. It is amazing to me the power that fear has over me. Serving fear is the opposite of serving love.

I was sitting down and have been watching a movie called, “A Beautiful Mind.” with Russel Crowe who plays the character of John Nash. John Nash was the inventor/discoverer of something called the, “Nash Equilibrium.”

The Nash Equilibrium is choosing the superior decision given certain variables. It is used in a theory of economics and human behavior called, “Game Theory.” Adam Smith, who some would say is the, “Father of Modern Economics.” said that everyone who works towards his own personal benefit, then benefits the whole.

John Nash essentially turned this over on it’s head and said that if you work for your personal benefit AND the benefit of the group, then there is a superior decision that can be made. The main example of this is called the Prisoner’s Dilemma.

I tend to agree with John Nash.

Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that he would lay down his life for his friends.” Nash comes closer to this than Adam Smith, I would think. Jesus example shows that actually choosing the better path for someone else is the truly superior method.

I don’t know what else to write, so here are some prayers:

Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

I don’t really know how to be free, but I want to be.

Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

I want to serve Him, and stop serving myself.

Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Please help me to choose the path of Love.

Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Heal my hardened heart, so that I can see the beauty of this world and the next.

Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Forgive me of my Sin.

Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Please give me the discernment to see the difference between love and fear.

Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Sincerely,

Jared
